If I could give it 10 stars I would. Skipper Lukey you're a rockstar. The whole atmosphere and vibe was everything I could have hoped for. The history of the screech in ceremony along with the humour made it a night we won't soon forget. Keep doing what you're doing. So glad we made the decision to get screeched in on Saturday night.
Went here for the screech in ceremony and was so glad we did. I witnessed two other screech in ceremonies in town and they were laughable compared to this. I had an absolute riot, it was SO well done and so fun for us, chef Lukey really knows how to entertain. The pub itself is cozy, warm, and the perfect place to settle up to the bar with a pint. This place is idyllic really.
Great spot to get screeched in. Best experience by far. 40 to be screeched includes certificate and rum shot. Overall great bar and friendly atmosphere and people. Make sure to kiss the cod. Book online as to ensure you get a spot. Screeching starts at 5 till 1am. Beer was great and delightful.
If you are looking for the best screetching in ceremony in NL, "Chef Lukey" at Christian's on George Street was totally outstanding! Have done several of these and this was absolutely the best ever!! Worth every penny!
If you ever make it up to St. John's NL and want to become an honorary Newfoundlander, there is no better place than Christian's Pub with Skipper Lukey! It was a fantastic experience and these pictures don't do it justice!
This is THE best place to be screeched in. The guy who owns/runs Chef Lukey is phenomenal. Super funny guy - it is like going to a stand up show. Extremely great value. We laughed and learned a lot about NFL too. Just go! How someone remembers 30 peoples names he first heard only twice and 30 minutes earlier is incredible. We are now honorary Newfoundlanders and proud to be so.
Got screeched in here and had genuine Newfie steak. Lukey puts on a great ceremony and shared some history. 10/10 recommend If you like kissing fish, this is the place to be.
If you are looking for a place to get Screeched in, this is the place. Lukey does a fantastic job. Personable, great storyteller, enthusiastic. Crowd loved it. It's a worthwhile experience. Takes about 30-45, and show up early to get a spot at the bar!
